    PADI Continuing Education Courses

    Please note that in Malta, all recreational diving services are offered, promoted, organised and provided exclusively through licensed dive centres. At present, Claude D Zacharias is an instructor at OrangeShark Dive Centre, MTA 0120.

    In Sweden, however, an instructor may teach diving independently, at their own responsibility.

    The listed prices are based on a minimum of two participants.
    If a participant does not complete the course within the scheduled time, an additional fee of €70 per extra day or dive currently applies. This may – just like weather conditions – delay the course and could affect the participant’s ability to finish the training, for example due to flights or similar circumstances, for which neither the dive school nor the instructor can be held responsible.

    ReActivate € 130.00 Timing among other things, depend on eLearning and, if applicable, final theory test done before course start.

    This is a refresher course for those of you who have not been diving for a while.

    Diver Prerequisites:
    >• 10 years old
    • PADI (Junior) Scuba Diver

    The ReActivate encompasses waterskills in one confined water or one open water dive. This is not a certification level. Divers refresh knowledge using PADI ReActivate eLearning.
    ADVENTURE DIVER (3 dives, 1–2 days) € 320.00 Timing among other things depend on eLearning and, if applicable, final theory test done before course start.

    The course is an excellent alternative for those who do not have the time or possibility to finish the whole PADI Advanced Open Water.

    Certification Requirements are:

    • Complete three Adventure Dives. • Complete the three Knowledge Reviews for the completed Adventure Dives. • Complete Thinking Like a Diver Knowledge Development section.

    The first dives of PADI Specialty Diver courses for which there are standardized specialty instructor guides qualify as Adventure Dives.Note: The PADI Rebreather Diver course is not a PADI Specialty Diver course, but the first dive, which is in confined water, may count as an Adventure Dive.
    ADVANCED OPEN WATER DIVER (5 dives, 3 days) € 455.00 Timing among other things depend on eLearning and, if applicable, final theory test done before course start or at least before the practical water sessions begin.

    Requirements:• 15 years or old (Note: 10- and 11-year-old divers may only earn a Junior Adventure Diver certification).
    • Complete five Adventure Dives including Deep and Underwater Navigation.
    • Complete the five Knowledge Reviews for the completed Adventure Dives.
    • Complete Thinking Like a Diver Knowledge Development section.
    EMERGENCY FIRST RESPONSE (EFR) – also for non-divers. Approx. ½ day. The price and timing depend on eLearning before course start. € 180.00 Emergency First Response® primary and secondary care training teaches you what to do in the critical moments between when a life-threatening emergency occurs and when emergency medical services arrive. During in-person training with an EFR instructor, you will learn how to perform CPR, provide first aid that eases pain, assess a variety of injuries and illnesses, and practice bandaging and splinting.

    Completion of this program meets the First Aid/CPR course requirement for PADI Rescue Diver and PADI Divemaster certification.

    Each participant needs to have their own personal pocket mask.
    EFR + Emergency Oxygen (O₂) Provider Speciality – also for non-divers. Approx. 1 day. Timing among other things depend on finished eLearning before course start. € 280.00 This course is a combination of the EFR and the Emergency Oxygen Provider Course. Knowing how and when to administer emergency oxygen is a valuable skill to have in a dive emergency. The Emergency Oxygen Provider prepares you to offer aid and teaches you to recognize scuba diving injuries and illnesses requiring emergency oxygen.

    This is an excellent course for scuba divers, boat crew, lifeguards, freedivers, mermaids or anyone who spends time in and around water. No age restrictions or water sessions required.
    RESCUE DIVER (RD) (3–4 days) € 450.00 Includes, if applicable, car logistics, manual and certification. The price and timing depend on eLearning and, if applicable, final theory test done before course start or at least before the practical water sessions begin.


    Prerequisites:
    • 12 years old (Note: 12- to 14-year-old divers may earn Junior Rescue Diver certifications).
    • Open Water Divers may participate in Knowledge Development and Rescue Exercises in confined water.
    • EFR Primary and Secondary Care training within 24 months. (Training may be completed along with rescue diver course).Certification Requirements:
    • Complete five knowledge development segments and exam.
    • Demonstrate skills from the Self-Rescue Review either in confined or open water.
    • Demonstrate skills from Rescue Exercises 1–10 in open water.
    • Participate in Rescue Scenarios 1 and 2 in open water.
    • Prepare an emergency assistance plan for a dive site.:
    RESCUE DIVER + EFR (4–5 days). Timing among other things depend on eLearning and, if applicable, final theory test done before course start or at least before the practical water sessions begin. € 550.00
