PADI Self-reliant diver
Please note that in Malta, instructors are only permitted to operate through a licensed dive centre.
In Sweden, however, any instructor may teach diving under his or her own responsibility.
PADI Self-Reliant Diver is the course for those who want to take their diving safety to the next level – both within the buddy system and in situations where you may find yourself diving alone.
You will learn and practise how to dive with an alternate air source, redundant equipment in several areas, and more. The course includes classroom theory and three open water dives.
As this course focuses entirely on safety, it is conducted on a one-to-one basis – one student per instructor.
Prerequisites:
Minimum age: 18
100 logged dives
PADI Rescue Diver certification or equivalent
Equipment requirements:
At this level, you are expected to have your own equipment. However, we can assist with rental of certain gear if needed.
