  • Expert Hollis Prism 2 Rebreather Servicing

As a dedicated Hollis Prism 2 diver and instructor  as well as a service technician, I understand the critical importance of maintaining your rebreather with precision and care. Your safety and the flawless performance of your equipment are my top priorities.

Proper maintenance is a critical part of owning a Hollis Prism2 rebreather and it should be serviced at least once every year. With its numerous o-rings and consumable components requiring regular replacement, the Prism2 needs consistent upkeep similar to any other scuba system. Annual servicing includes cleaning, inspection, lubrication, and installing the components recommended for replacement by the manufacturer.

This service can take some time, as the process involves disassembling your unit. While the unit is apart, you may opt for additional service incurring extra labor time and thus costs. Typically, annual servicing is completed within approximately 10 business days, but expedited services may be available upon request.

It’s important to note that this service does not cover replacements of items such as cables, electronics, or solenoid assemblies, as these are not part of the standard process.

During the annual service, technicians replace o-rings and fittings that are externally accessible on the unit’s head. Given the extensive disassembly involved, certain components can be replaced during this process without increasing the labor charges although additional cost for replacements can seldom be avoided.

If you’ve experienced any issues with your equipment, it’s essential to let us know in advance. Problems like broken wires or internal disconnections can sometimes be hard to identify during initial diagnostics.

When you choose my service, you can trust in meticulous craftsmanship, genuine parts, and a commitment to excellence.
